In a post on the official PlayStation Blog, Crystal Dynamics’ Associate Art Director Jeff Adams revealed bringing the character to the title is “so personal” to him, as he grew up seeing himself reflected in Peter Parker, and offered new details on what players will be able to do as the webslinger as he is taken out of his home New York.
“Watching Spider-Man adapt to new surroundings was such a great contrast to his status quo,” Adams wrote. “That tone is exactly what we want to capture for him in Marvel’s Avengers. A familiar but fresh Spider-Man who needs to evolve to take on global threats alongside Earth’s Mightiest Heroes. To make sure this team up goes smoothly, Vince Napoli, our Lead Combat Designer, is hard at work making Spider-Man just as great on the sticks as he is on the page. This means making sure our hero moves and fights like he should, no matter which one of our War Zones he finds himself in. When he’s arcing through the air on his web line, we want you to feel graceful and light, and be able to utilize a variety of web configurations and gadgets to enhance your traversal. Spider-Man’s impressive acrobatic abilities will complement the experience, allowing you to seamlessly transition from navigation to combat.”
In building this combat, Adams says players will be able to fluidly fight enemies and will get to use the “unique skill tree” that Napoli and his team are utilizing for the rest of the ensemble Marvel roster, which will include an “impressive suite of iconic abilities and attacks” as well as gadgets and skills that can be upgraded along the way. He also describes Crystal’s adaptation of the Stan Lee and Steve Ditko-created character as “sensational,” seeing his partnership with Iron Man, Thor, Hulk, Black Widow and Ms. Marvel adding “a whole new dimension” to the character.
“It’s not enough for Spider-Man to just play like he should… he also needs to look like he should,” Adams wrote. “That’s why when going through the process of conceptualizing his suit, we went back to the beginning. Steve Ditko set the standard with his Spider-Man design, and John Romita Sr. evolved it into an icon recognized the world over. Fans can expect to see Ditko and Romita’s influence in our take on the hero, with nods to other talented artists that have defined the character’s look over his long history. When Spider-Man comes to our stable of heroes, we’ll be marking his debut with an in-game event that will introduce him to the wider world of Marvel’s Avengers. The event is comprised of a series of unique challenges for the hero to take on, testing his abilities, and yielding some exciting results. And like the rest of our heroes in Marvel’s Avengers, we will offer multiple cosmetic outfits and gameplay experience options, so you can make your vision of the wall crawler a reality.“
Marvel's Spider Man
Marvel’s Avengers begins at A-Day, where Captain America, Iron Man, the Hulk, Black Widow, and Thor are unveiling a hi-tech Avengers Headquarters in San Francisco — including the reveal of their own helicarrier powered by an experimental energy source. The celebration turns deadly when a catastrophic accident results in massive devastation. Blamed for the tragedy, the Avengers disband. Five years later, with all Super Heroes outlawed and the world in peril, the only hope is to reassemble Earth’s Mightiest Heroes.
The game invites players to live their Super Hero dreams. Outstanding storytelling and an ever-expanding universe come together in the definitive Avengers gaming experience. Master extraordinary abilities, customize a growing roster of Heroes, assemble into teams of up to four players, and defend the Earth from escalating threats.
An epic action-adventure game that combines cinematic storytelling with single-player and co-operative gameplay. Marvel’s Avengers is developed by Crystal Dynamics in collaboration with Eidos-Montréal, Nixxes Software, and Crystal Northwest.
Marvel’s Avengers will release simultaneously for the PlayStation 4 computer entertainment system, the Xbox One family of devices including Xbox One X, Stadia, and PC on September 4, with the releases on the next-generation of consoles PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X scheduled for a late 2020 release. Marvel’s Avengers has been oddly quiet in regard to hype, but now that its betas are on the horizon everyone has suddenly become stoked for this superhero RPG. While there have been assurances from some platforms that it’s not the Destiny clone certain people fear, Xbox One and PC fans have been asking the following question: is Spider-Man coming to the Avengers game for Xbox One and PC? Here you’ll discover why the web-head is a PlayStation 4 exclusive.
Aside from just participating in the Marvel’s Avengers beta to try the game out before its eventual launch in September, another reason to play one of the free upcoming demos is to get the Hulk Smashers Pickaxe in Fortnite. The pre-order beta is coming for PS4 only this August 7th, but there will be a version for Sony loyalists next weekend, and there will also be a closed and open demo for other systems.
However, away from its many available betas throughout this month, here you’ll discover whether Spider-Man is coming to the game for Xbox One and PC. John deere 1240 corn planter owner manual.

Is Spider-Man a timed exclusive for the Avengers game on PS4?
No, Spider-Man has not been announced as a timed exclusive for the Avengers game on PS4.
Rather than a timed exclusive, Spider-Man has simply been announced as a PS4 exclusive which means it’s highly unlikely he’ll ever come to Xbox One, Series X, and PC.
This will be disappointing for many people and it is a shame that arguably Marvel’s Mickey Mouse is only available on one system.
Although the likes of Thor, Hulk, and Iron Man are all classic characters made fan-favourites because of the MCU, Spider-Man has always been Marvel’s most recognisable superhero.
The web-head is to Marvel what Batman is to DC, and it’s a shame that he’s not coming to Xbox One and PC.
Why isn’t Spider-Man coming to the Avengers game on Xbox One and PC?
Spider-Man is not coming to the Avengers game on Xbox One and PC because of the relationship between Sony and Marvel.
Sony has movie rights to the Spider-Man character, and this is why he is not coming to Xbox One and PC for the Avengers game, as well as why Insomniac’s adaptation is a PS4 exclusive.
Speaking to IGN Japan, Crystal Dynamics’ studio head, Scott Amos, said that the web-head will be the only platform exclusive character.
He also reiterated that Marvel’s Avengers has a lot of playable heroes so the absence of Spider-Man shouldn’t be too big of an issue.
While the above suggestion could ruffle some Xbox One and PC feathers, so too could Amos’ retort in which he said that “those who absolutely want to play as Spider-Man have the option to do so on PlayStation”.
